OSABUOHIEN, Evans Stephen is a lecturer and a Ph.D candidate in Dept. of Economics and Development Studies, Covenant University, Nigeria. He holds M.Sc and B.Sc. in the same field. He is currently a guest PhD Candidate in Dept of Economics Lund University under the host supervisor of Prof Gote Hansson. His research focus include: Development Economics; Trade; and Institutions. He has participated in several conferences and workshops both within and outside Nigeria. He has over 13 scholarly publications. His recent awards include: Guest PhD Scholar (Swedish Institute Fellowship) 2009/2010 and Grant for PhD Thesis Writing (CODESRIA) 2009. He is a member of some learned societies/association, which include: Nigerian Economic Society (NES) and Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRA). He has engaged in consultancy services for international agencies. He enjoys reading, travelling and meeting people. He is married with a son.
