University Board and tuition fees
September 14, 2010
The University Board has now had its first meeting for the semester with a series of information points about forthcoming decisions regarding the long-term plan, business plan, budget, organisation, appointments structure, internal regulations, etc. The Board has also decided that a new management model for teacher education will apply from the year-end, which means that responsibility now goes from the Teacher Education Board to the Faculty Boards, as the former is being dissolved. The Board also instructed the Vice-Chancellor to set tuition fees for overseas students. According to the draft policy document that was energetically discussed at the Board meeting, the price for full-time studies in the humanities, social sciences, and law is calculated to be SEK 90,000 per year, whilst the cost of studying subjects with the sciences is calculated to be SEK 140,000. This is in the same class as the prices of e.g. Uppsala University and KTH. If no radical new information is received, I expect that the formal Vice-Chancellor's decision on these levels will be taken next week. Special prices will also be set for various teacher education programmes and programmes at the Department of Social Work, the Department of Psychology, and the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMK).

it is written everyhwere that there will be the swedish election. All I know about sweden politics is that the socialdemos lost, sverigedemok..(i dont know the name but considered as far right wing) is growing and center-right wing won the election and privatized a lot. What is socialdemo going to do in order to get back the votes? what kind of reforms? and what about the dominant party? what will they do in order to counter the social demos? Can you give me any site or write me about this please?

I need 1 year in order to finish my high school.
But I want to move to Sweden as fast as I end here and therefore I study swedish in my free time as bachelor grades are taught only in swedish.
Otherwise I have to attend 3 years here in Rome or in Seoul and then move to Swe.
Meh. I don`t want to wait any longer.
I am using everything I have to improve my swedish: I bought a grammar book on amazon.uk, I listen every morning to Sveriges radio p1, I study swedish via internet and try to pick some random swedish people on facebook and chat with them.
I have learned something, but not enough especially when it is about speaking.
Anyone who could help me with swedish with chat and voice chat (skype or msn messenger) please?
I could teach you some korean or italian ;)
