To all new Gothenburg-students: Note down September 15 in your calendar!

Posted: 6/8/2010 11:45:45 AM

To kick start your student life, you’re invited to Student10. On September 15 we start off with a big party – more info about that will be posted here www.goteborg.com/student10 in September. In the meantime, have a look at last year’s kick off here www.utbildning.gu.se/education/Exchange_student (click on the banner on the right hand side).

After the kick off, which will include music, speakers, snacks, exhibitions etc, there will be a number of events planned over several weeks; guided tours, workshops, student farces, seminars, etc. A great way to meet other new students and get to know the city. We’ve put together a mix of events so that there’s something for everyone. And most of it is free.

Student10 is an arrangement which is organised by the University of Göteborg, Chalmers, the Associated Student Unions of Gothenburg and Göteborg & Co Trade & Industry group.

Are you one of the lucky ones?

Being admitted to the University of Gothenburg, that is. If that’s the case, congrats and welcome here! We hope that you will have a great stay, both academically and socially.

There are probably loads of things going through your mind at this point – where to stay, how to meet friends, how to travel here, what to bring in terms of clothing, etc. Then, please sign up and join our network (www.swedenintouch.se/University-of-Gothenburg) and check out our FAQ – and meet others that are arriving in the autumn of 2010.

Welcome!

Are you a student at the University of Gothenburg looking for a job?

Posted: 4/14/2010 3:11:02 PM

We are looking for international and Swedish students for a workshop taking place at the University of Gothenburg on May 5, at 12 a.m to 3 p.m. The only prerequisite is that you need to have been admitted to a course or a programme at the University of Gothenburg as an undergraduate or a master’s student, an ex-change student or a freemover. If you are a Swedish student we would like you either to have experience from studies abroad or from working with/meeting international students on a regular basis.

The workshop will be about what you think is unique with the university, what made you choose your specific programme/course, what you think that the uni-versity stands for, how you found information about us when you first started to think about studying abroad, etc.

The workshop will be one step in the process of improving our information and communication towards international students.

You will be paid per hour.

Are you interested? Then please e-mail your application (name, level of studies, course/programme studied, home university), to jenny.rohdin@gu.se asap. Please refer to www.swedenintouch.se in your application.
