My Sweden so for

Posted: 7/11/2009 1:18:55 PM

Summer is going on with occasional rains and regular cool breezes here in Karlskrona. I dun know why but some thoughts about Swedish people were touching my brain in the morning. To be honest, without referring to any particular instance,I just love them.
Lemme put up my observations and experiences in points form as follows:
1-Swedes are POLITE and this is their most impressive quality for me.

2-Swedes are way beyond helping and the way they come for your help makes you feel that it belongs to duties as being a part of society.

3-Swedes are truthfull, may be kidding if otherwise.

4- Swedes trust you blindly unless someone proves that he/she doesn't deserve it :)

On gorunds of ethnic comparison, only two things are found which may not be liked (On basis of princple) in the culture of my origin. One is drinking and other is something which happens after too much drinking :)

Anyhow, according to my knowledge of some countries and interaction with different nations, I rate them very high and I couldnt resist it sharing it here saying of one of my friends here.
He says,"If they accept Islam, they will make much better muslims than at least two of us"

May God bless Swedes for being so sweet!

Hej Hej,
Many of you might had chance to listen to 'Roxette' and I have been listening them for many years but the most surprising thing out of it is that I came to know today:Roxette is a Swedish pop music duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle.

Head down busy in my exams,I thought its good idea to write short blog to make this news known to them who didnot know it earlier.

Lunch@Lund-by SI

Posted: 5/9/2009 1:24:26 AM

Hejsan,
I had a chance of having lunch in Grand hotel in Lund with some SI officials and a few scholarship holders this friday. Althogh,my unversity is a bit away from Lund but I couldnot help attending it all the way from Karlskrona to Lund.
I was so stuuned with happiness on just entering the hotel when Rita Wikandar recoginised me instantly ,saying.'hey, here comes somebody from blekinge...' She was standing there with a couple of people and wiating for more to come. Before this amazement could get to an end,I saw a gracefull lady almost running towards me. She exclaimed with such an ultimate joy,'hey Muhammad,it is so good to see you live here...' I was just overwhlemed when she said,' You have been wonderfull in writing blogs and you really a need a hug...'
I am really very much gratefull to her for this such a kind affection for me. Dont you want to know ,who was she???...any guess?.......
oooh yes......the one and only ,Maureen Hoppers!!!

We,a group of six people, led by Maureen, moved towards the dinning tables.
And then started an undending session of introductions, discussions, questions, little jokes and so on. Amazing for me,maureen had information about so many countries, political issues and things like that. If you see the picture,Elif + miss Belarus are sitting in front column-me + Maureen in middle and then Daniel + Mauricio , I came to know some new things about Belarus,Turky and Bolivia. We were enjoying each others company this much that those two hours passed just in a sigh of joy. If hotel staff were not putting lights off,we could had continued talking like that for hours, may be :)

Thanks to SI for arranging such a wonderfull event! Hope to have another such lovely meeting again, very soon :)

A short visit to Aspo

Posted: 5/4/2009 9:28:38 PM

hej Hej,
so lazy of me for not writing any blog for many days :(
thats involved some sound pressure of projects, assignments, submissions and so on...
well,here I come again :)
During this long long weekend,I was fortunate enough to have a good friend of mine visiting me from Skovde. And it was surprisingly pleasant to learn that he was my relative-not from close quarters, however!
Besides other activities, last sunday we planned to have a look at the nearby island Aspo where a lot my class friends had already been there and admired the natural beauty of its scenes.
A free cargo-ferry goes and comes back after some specific time interals to ease the transporation of local people. It was so good travel inside Baltic sea in such a sunny day while standing on the terrace. A slight cool breeze was blowing and sun rays were also there to keep your skin a little warm. Such a lovely combination is rarely hard to find inside waters,i think.
Aspo is not very big one but it is properly settled and inhabitated just like a small town. You find directions on boards and pavements alonside of roads. The most interesting feature for any visitor is the castle which reminds the 17th century naval defence of Sweden. Some cannons facing towards sea are still there which are just for view. They have built a pretty enough dinning hall inside the castle in case you are there for partying or something like that. Photo shooting is a usual craze for at such places :)
We had a brisk walk into the trees and soon it was time to get back on the sea shore for catching up with ferry. It was observed that many people were again joining us on our way back which we saw while coming to the island. It was a terrific trip, altogther.

Critical thinking and natural way of enhancing endurance

Posted: 3/24/2009 5:15:27 PM

Hej Hej,
Meeting timelines or deadlines, producing some desired results in specific limited time,to be able to withstand a critical situation like exam or presentation-these could be some generally described scenarios which come in the life of a typical student in the course of his academic career and you are sitting like the boy in the picture.
Sometimes, unfortunately, one has to face such circumstances that make him/her lying in the middle of nothing. There could be numerous ways to get rid of this situation. Does nature itslef has got something to offer in this regard. Is there any instant solution which take away much of that pain in a light manner.
Lets take an example ,through wich,I will try to summarize something-that is going on in my mind and I want that to be transferred into words here with the help of my finger tips and lapy keyborad!

During my last exams I experienced this strange thing. While preaparations and while sitting in exam, a hectic situation leading to a recession of mental activeness occurred.
May be due to reflex action or something, I used to put my fingers across my face ,forhead and sides of forehead for a while. This phenomenon brought about a magical effect of soothing the brain muscle contractions. A small repitition of this natural remedy gained such a good level of endurance as couldnot be possible without taking some tranquilizer. I am sure that medical science might have taken this perspective of natural remedy into acount.
Looking for your feedback, if you try it at home :)

End of Exams & my new hair cut...

Posted: 3/21/2009 5:05:06 PM

Hej,hej...hows everybody?I am sorry for my long absence here...reason were project, submissions, labs, brainstorm meetings & ofcourse exams!!!
aha.......aha.... a big big sigh of relief......I just got a break from all this yesterday and good thing is that it was a happy ending of this LP altogether.
Story doesnt end here....the feeling og being light goes a step ahead. I had my new hair cut just like most of swedes here have :)....so feeling relaxed, physically too!

In the last LP,I studied another mandatory subject,'research methology' which is more than just studying the ways of research in electrical engineering.
I enjoyed the discussions during tutorials which was totally out of course. One out of them was like that the life on earth is just on the verge of extinction,You have got a space ship and you have have to choose the potential candidates for traveling out of a bunch of people including a student,an actress,a police man etc ect. The interesting part of this was defending one's choice of taking some people on board and droping some out of the bunch. It was an enjoyeable way of learning'how to defend your thesis'.
Here in Karlskrona,we are having a good sign of incoming summers. Even now,I am enjoying a good sun bath through my window. During next days of this month,no studies ---just fun!More than three friends of mine ,out of city, are inviting me to visit them and I am just in a fix --which one comes first :)
Happy weekend ,everybody!see ya!

Good morning :)

Hej,This morning has been really so good to me so for! I was sleeping actualy, when I suddenly heard an intensive voice of some rock song. Then I figured out that its 6 am & my apartment mate is trying to make some moves alongwith the song.It was a matter of couple of minutes that he shut down that noisy tempting thing & I heard a loud noise of closure of the door of his room. Just after a thought of keep lying iside my bed, some unknown magestic power make me step down & I was in my wash room in no time. :)
So,it was a good time to offer my Fajar prayer which I did. A glass of water ,as usual, was enough to make me fresh & start a new day. People who are computer addicted can guess my very next step. yeah...logged on to my system & start viewing my emails. Amongst them, one was a no-reply email from LADOK system & it was the intimation of result in the subject Multidimensional Signal Processing which i took in my last LP.
Hooorray.....It took my senses away into outer space that I was declared not only pass in the subject but also with distinction!!!Thanks you so much,God.!
As a matter of fact, the exam was reallt tough & I was thinking whether i could pass it...Uh my goodness...another A grade! Perhaps,it was destined for me to come to Sweden before I could get such outsanding marks!!!
Thanks Sweden...Thanks SI....Thanks Johanna Jeppson!!!

A small story with a hilarous lesson :)

A popular motivational speaker was entertaining his audience. He Said: "The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn't my wife!" The audience was in silence and shock. The speaker added: "And that woman was my mother!"

Laughter and Applause

A week later, a top manager trained by the motivational speaker tried to crack this very effective joke at home. He was a bit foggy after a drink. He said loudly to his wife who was preparing dinner, "The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!"

The wife went; "ah!" with shock and rage. Standing there for 20 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the manager finally blurted out "...and I can't remember who she was!"

By the time the manager regained his consciousness, he was on a hospital bed nursing burns from boiling water.

Moral of the story: Don't copy if you can't paste!

Frisör-barber

Posted: 2/28/2009 2:32:57 AM

It has been just a few weeks in Sweden that I felt the need of having a hair cut. initially,it was delayed deliberately just in a state of laziness. But,it had to be addressed before it would had become a mess. Though,it was not so surprising for me but it was not even expected that much. Do you guess what I am talking about? :)
Well, the astonishing factor was the charges for hairdo. Just to mention, its around 200 SEK for a good haircut. Now,I must share the reason why I was taken aback is the amount which is being charged for the same back in my country. Its almost equivalent to 10 SEK at a very good saloon at some attractive location. Surprised???.....I am not kidding. It is a fact!
.
So,what to do!!!here comes the guidance of seniors who were already experiencing these things already. The solution was a that some students around have got some good hands on experience plus tools to deal with this issue. However,it sounds awkward just to visit some one to have this thing done without charges. At last, one idea was acted upon. That was to try it in between the friends circle, doing the service for each other to get it going. Later on,some people turned out to be naturally talented barbers.
Anyhow, situation is so comfortable now & if you remember my last picture, the difference can be seen easily by comparing that with the current one.
